The existing structure had good bones so we focused on a modern face-lift: cladding external and internal walls in white, weather-proof timber, replacing worn doors and windows with new black frames and installing a family-friendly kitchen.
It was vital to channel the user’s experience of this expansive home via carefully-considered connective zones that encourage the family to come together in an easy, relaxed manner or enjoy a sense of peaceful solitude without feeling alone.
