This industrial site just outside of Cape Town was chosen by a rapidly-expanding craft brewery business to house both its corporate offices and working brewery. The project presented multiple spatial needs for a diverse range of people, from the CEO to the brewery workers, so the design challenge was to resolve these into a dynamic and safe work environment where everyone felt comfortable. Some examples include bespoke desking and shelving systems that demarcate work zones without the isolating effect of solid walls as well as the efficient flow of hard-working spaces like the cafeteria, bathrooms and locker rooms. Colour and art helped inject the brand personality into the space while cork and greenery helped soften industrial edges.
